University Settlement

University Settlement offers a remarkable afterschool program for middle schoolers, running from mid-September 2025 to mid-June 2026. This free program provides a variety of engaging activities, nutritious hot meals, and exciting field trips, making it an excellent opportunity for your teenager. University Settlement Afterschool

Fort Greene Prep offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities. We are proud to offer a comprehensive afterschool program provided by University Settlement. This program houses community-based programs as well as teacher-led programs.

 

Students have the option to participate in clubs during student lunch. We also offer a Saturday Academy. All of Fort Greene Prep’s extra-curricular activities are aligned to one of three themes: sports, the arts, or academic enrichment.

 

Sports: Girls & Boys Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Fencing, Snowboarding and Skateboard.

 

Arts: Improvisational Theater, Musical Theater, Technical Theater (Set Design, Sound, Lighting, Stage Management, Costumes, Hair & Make up), Dance, Band, Choir, Visual Arts (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Pottery, Digital Arts)

 

Academic Enrichment: SHSAT (Specialized high school) Prep, Chess Team, Robotics Team, Robotics for All, Debate Team, Cooking, Mathletes, Book Club, Tutoring, Gender & Sexuality Alliance, Garden Club, Student Government
