Hello Fort Greene Prep Students, Families, and Staff,
We are in a difficult time as we face the next weeks and possibly months of fighting the Covid-19 virus and educating our children through remote learning. I am humbled by the work this community done together to prepare for the close of schools. Our staff has been working around the clock to contact families and students, provide classwork and devices, and prepare the online learning environment and assignments. Thank you to our families for being so receptive and helpful with coming to receive devices and curriculum. Thank you to our students for already beginning their online learning. Throughout all of this I want to assure you that Fort Greene Prep and all our staff are here to support you and your children. Please do not hesitate contacting us for help with whatever you may need during this closure.
Please note that our building is now closed and we have moved all instruction to our online platform, Google Classroom. There will be no one at the school building to receive calls or to distribute items. If you need to contact the school, please make note of the following:

If you are a first responder, health care provider, or transit worker whose child is a New York City resident, and you have no other child care option, please complete the survey below to begin your enrollment process. You will then be contacted about assignment to a site near your home. These centers are not available for any other New Yorkers at this time. We will post additional updates and information on the DOE website about RECs as we have it at schools.nyc.gov. Daily Attendance and Connecting to Your Point Person:
All students are required to check in with their point person each day. Your point person should have already contacted you and your family. Please answer phone calls, texts, and emails so that we have a record of your attendance.
Students should use their fgpa.org email accounts to sign into the google classroom and join all the classes they have been invited to. The schedule for live instruction, assignments and deadlines, and group chats will be posted there. Students will be graded on participation and quality of their work products.
